Pastors Martin and Georgie: Hello and welcome to our website, We are excited at what God is doing in our part of the world, What an exciting time to be alive wow 2010 what a great year we have been given.
I want to extend a very warm and genuine invitation to join us this year as a church community as we reach out to the poor and needy and offer REAL hope to those who really need it
there is a REAL need on the earth for a people of God who will Stop going to Church and begin to live in the reality that we are The Church! We are seeing people come to that reality everyday, there is a new level of accountability, responsibility and Power within God's people when they become living stones and stop being just Church goers.
Georgie and I have two Children, I am a second generation Pastor whilst Georgie came from an extremely different background, you might say the wrong side of the track? Georgie grew up primarily in S.A, and also Victoria then settled here in Sydney in what was a very abusive and hostile environment, God has truly had his hand on Georgina's life and she believes that God has a plan and purpose for everyone.

The Rock lives for Jesus as a community within the community, our heart beat is loving people, and seeing lives transformed to live in the reality of Gods Kingdom. There are many people in Australia and in fact worldwide that call themselves Christian, they identify themselves as being Christian either by the family they belong to or by the organization they may attend on the odd occasion.
Jesus claimed that the way we will know that we are Christians, that is like Christ is when we are born again, that is by birth by the spirit.
John 3:3-7 "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again... Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.'"
To be Christ like as the scripture intends and illustrates is the essence of our passion and pursuit at COTR.



Our Beginnings
The Rock began in 2001 under the calling and Annointing of Pastor Royce Franklin, responding to the call of God Royce and his wife Doris set out to pioneer a new church in the community of Werrington/Cambridge Park Sydney NSW. The Rock began to meet every Sunday with four families in the living room of Pastor Royce and Doris it soon grew into a vibrant church community.
In 2004 Pastors Martin and Georgina Beckett were called to Shepherd The Rock, We entered into a new and exciting season and in August 2008 The Rock moved into it's new location. The Rock is alive and growing with an emphasis on Shepherding our community.
